Bhutan Moves 90 Bitcoin Worth $7 Million to Separate SegWit Address
Bhutan moved 90 Bitcoin worth about $7 million to a SegWit address separate from the addresses it uses to hold BTC, according to Arkham. Arkham said that pattern typically indicates a transfer to a separate entity and may indicate a sale.
Arkham said Bhutan periodically makes similar small transfers to SegWit addresses, meaning the latest move does not by itself confirm a sale. Since the start of the year, Bhutan has moved $237.39 million of BTC from its wallets to SegWit addresses and still holds $233.18 million in BTC, according to Arkham.
