Taiwan Overtakes India in Stock Market Value at $4.95 Trillion on TSMC Rally
Taiwan’s stock market has overtaken India’s in total value, with market capitalization climbing to about $4.95 trillion versus India’s $4.92 trillion. The change was powered mainly by a sharp rally in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., the world’s largest chipmaker.
That puts Taiwan’s stock market in fifth place globally. The latest ranking reflects how strongly TSMC’s rise has lifted the island’s overall market value, enough to move it ahead of India.
