Nvidia to Unveil First Windows PCs Using Its Chips Next Week, With N1X Laptops Due in Q1 2026
Nvidia is expected to unveil the first Windows PCs powered by its chips next week, extending its push into the PC processor market with the Arm-based N1X platform. Supply-chain and media reports indicate a high-end Windows-on-Arm laptop for consumers built on N1X is slated for the first quarter of 2026, followed by three more N1 and N1X laptops in the second quarter.
Supply-chain checks point to around 10 million N1X-based device shipments over the next two years, though the category is still viewed as a niche aimed at power users who need on-device AI compute. Microsoft is also expected to unveil software that lets AI agents perform tasks locally on Windows PCs, making Windows support central to whether the new hardware drives a broader upgrade cycle.
