Salesforce Forecasts Q2 Revenue Below Estimates, Announces $25 Billion Buyback After Q1 Beat
Salesforce forecast fiscal second-quarter revenue of $11.27 billion to $11.35 billion, just below analysts' $11.36 billion estimate, even as it reported first-quarter revenue of $11.13 billion, up 13% from a year earlier, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $3.88, both above expectations. The company also announced a $25 billion accelerated share repurchase and said Agentforce annual recurring revenue had surpassed $1 billion, with combined AI and data ARR at $3.4 billion.
For the full year, Salesforce projected revenue of $45.9 billion to $46.2 billion, compared with expectations of about $46.11 billion. Current remaining performance obligation rose 14% to $33.6 billion and operating cash flow was $6.7 billion. Marc Benioff said Salesforce has delivered more than 4 million autonomous service transactions as it pushes Agentforce deeper into its products. Shares fell about 3% in after-hours trading as investors weighed the softer near-term outlook and concern that AI could disrupt the software business.
