SpaceX IPO Filing Discloses $4.3 Billion First-Quarter Loss as AI Infrastructure Spending Mounts
SpaceX's IPO filing positions the company as an AI infrastructure business alongside its launch and satellite operations, disclosing $4.7 billion in first-quarter revenue, a $4.3 billion loss and a $40 billion deal with Anthropic that could lift growth. The filing says either side can terminate the Anthropic agreement with 90 days' notice.
The prospectus says SpaceX expects to begin deploying AI compute satellites in sun-synchronous orbit as early as 2028 and pegs its total addressable market at $28.5 trillion, including $26.5 trillion from AI. That roadmap depends on Starship becoming an operational orbital launch system, and the filing also showed 18,712 bitcoin on the balance sheet.
