Dell Adds OpenAI Codex to AI Factory, Reaches 5,000 Nvidia-Powered AI Server Customers
Dell is integrating OpenAI's Codex into its AI Factory and AI Data Platform stack, extending the enterprise infrastructure it sells for AI workloads across hybrid and on-premises environments. OpenAI said Codex has more than 4 million weekly developers and is already being used for code review, test coverage, incident response and reasoning across large repositories, with a broader push into enterprise agents that prepare reports, qualify leads and coordinate work across business systems.
Dell also said it added 1,000 AI Factory customers last quarter, bringing its customer base for Nvidia-powered AI servers to 5,000. Eli Lilly, Honeywell and Samsung are among the users, and the company is expanding its AI Factory with Nvidia while rolling out on-prem agentic AI tools, including Deskside Agentic AI for local and on-premise AI agents.
