Delivery Hero Confirms Uber Takeover Offer at €33 a Share
Delivery Hero confirmed it received a takeover offer from Uber, and the company said the proposal was €33 ($38) a share. The disclosure follows earlier reports that Uber and DoorDash had sounded out investors about a possible bid for Delivery Hero.
The Financial Times had reported that both companies discussed acquiring stakes from multiple Delivery Hero investors in recent days, with some shareholders indicating they would seek more than €40 a share. The newspaper also said Delivery Hero’s board was considering either a full sale or a series of deals that would spin off the group’s Middle East and Korea divisions.
