Cohere Launches Open-Source Command A+ Model That Runs on as Few as Two H100s

Cohere launched Command A+, an open-source large language model under the Apache 2.0 license, giving developers direct access to what it described as enterprise-grade agentic capabilities from experimentation to production. The company said the model is its fastest and most powerful yet and can run on as few as two H100s.

Cohere said Command A+ delivers more than twice the output speed and 30% lower latency than previous Command A models. Artificial Analysis said the model scored 37 on its Intelligence Index, placing it in line with Claude 4.5 Haiku, and ran at about 281 output tokens per second on Cohere’s API.

Introducing: Cohere Command A+ We’ve created our most powerful LLM yet, optimized it to run on as little hardware as possible, and released it open-source for all.

@cohere

Our fastest, most powerful model yet. Command A+ combines high-performance agentic AI with efficient, practical deployment - running on as few as two H100s.

@cohere

Faster: over 2x higher output speed and 30% lower latency than previous Command A models.

@cohere

Smarter: across-the-board improvements for agentic, reasoning and multi-step tasks.

@cohere

Worldlier: native support for 48 world languages and improved efficiency in non-European languages.

In our pre-release testing, Command A+ performed strongly on speed for its intelligence, reaching 281 output tokens per second. This reflects higher intelligence and speed than models such as gpt-oss-120b, but sits behind the new Pareto fro
