Court Adds Apple’s Craig Federighi to Discovery in Musk’s Apple-OpenAI Antitrust Suit

A federal court granted xAI’s request to add Apple software chief Craig Federighi as a document custodian in Elon Musk’s antitrust lawsuit against Apple and OpenAI, expanding discovery to include Federighi’s relevant internal communications, emails and files.

The court denied a similar request to add Tim Cook and found Federighi may have unique evidence related to Apple’s integration of OpenAI into Apple Intelligence. Apple must provide responsive documents in Federighi’s possession by June 17, 2026.
