Russia's Oil, Gas Revenue Seen Up 39% in May as EU Reaffirms Sanctions
Russia's oil and gas revenue is seen rising 39% from a year earlier in May, helped by the Iran war.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said the global market cannot function without Russian oil and that a number of countries are lifting restrictions. The European Commission said the EU remains committed to sanctions on Russian oil and gas, while a US waiver is unlikely to lift Russian oil exports because exports are already near capacity.
