SpaceX Files S-1 for Nasdaq IPO Under SPCX
SpaceX has publicly filed an S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of Class A shares and said it plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX. The filing names Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, BofA Securities, Citigroup and JPMorgan as underwriters for the offering.
The prospectus showed first-quarter revenue of $4.694 billion and an operating loss of $1.943 billion, with connectivity contributing $3.257 billion, AI $818 million and space $619 million. For 2025, SpaceX reported $18.7 billion in revenue, a $4.9 billion loss and $20.7 billion in capital expenditures, while its dual-class structure would leave Elon Musk with 85.1% combined voting power after the IPO. Separate reporting also highlighted plans for a 10-gigawatt solar facility in Bastrop, Texas that was not disclosed in the S-1.
