Nvidia CEO Expects China to Allow US AI Chip Imports Over Time
Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang said he expects Chinese authorities will eventually allow imports of artificial-intelligence chips from the US, adding that Beijing will decide how much to protect its market. Speaking days after he joined President Donald Trump's summit in China, Huang said he did not discuss H200 chips with Chinese officials.
Huang also said the AI boom is driving chip-manufacturing expansion beyond Taiwan and increasing pressure on supply chains. He warned that memory demand is outstripping capacity, the industry needs to ensure the supply chain is ready, and keeping up with the buildout may be difficult for a decade.
