U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs Lose $290 Million, First Weekly Outflow in 6 Weeks
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $290 million of net outflows on May 15, with none of the 12 products posting inflows, bringing weekly withdrawals to about $1 billion and marking the first net outflow week in six weeks. U.S. spot Ether ETFs lost $65.65 million, extending their run of daily withdrawals to five sessions.
The latest withdrawals followed $635 million of net outflows from spot Bitcoin ETFs on May 13, the largest one-day outflow in 105 days, led by $285 million from BlackRock's IBIT. Arkham data showed BlackRock ETF clients were net sellers of $317.1 million of Bitcoin this week, resulting in outflows from IBIT addresses.
