US Sanctions 12 Iran-Linked Individuals and Entities Over China Oil Sales
The US imposed fresh Iran-related sanctions on 12 individuals and entities accused of helping the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps sell and ship Iranian oil to China, according to reports citing the Treasury Department. The action targets three Iranian individuals and nine organizations.
Those organizations include firms based in Hong Kong, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. A report citing the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control said four are in Hong Kong, four in the UAE and one in Oman.
