Strategy's Estimated Bitcoin Purchase Tops $100 Million via STRC Tuesday
Estimates on Tuesday indicated Michael Saylor's Strategy may have bought more than $100 million of Bitcoin, or over 1,444 BTC, via STRC, up from an earlier estimate of more than 162 BTC shortly after the market open. If confirmed, the buying would amount to a much larger follow-on move a day after the company disclosed another Bitcoin purchase.
Strategy said on Monday that it acquired 535 BTC for about $43 million at an average price of about $80,340 each, taking its holdings to 818,869 BTC as of May 10. The latest estimates suggest the company is extending the accumulation it resumed after a brief pause.
