THORChain Pauses Trading After $10M+ Exploit Across Bitcoin, Ethereum, BSC, Base
THORChain paused trading after blockchain investigator ZachXBT and security researchers flagged a likely exploit across Bitcoin, Ethereum, BSC and Base, with losses estimated at more than $10 million.
PeckShield said the stolen crypto included 36.75 Bitcoin, worth about $3 million, and roughly $7 million of assets from BNB Chain, Ethereum and Base. The protocol later executed a global emergency halt across the network as the incident was assessed.
