Zillow Shares Slide 8% as Second-Quarter Profit Outlook Misses Estimates

Zillow shares fell 8% in post-market trading Wednesday after the company's second-quarter profit forecast missed Wall Street expectations, overshadowing first-quarter results that beat estimates. Revenue rose 18% from a year earlier to $708 million, above the $705.33 million analyst estimate, while adjusted earnings per share came in at 53 cents versus the 45-cent consensus.

In the first quarter, net income was $46 million, for-sale revenue increased 12% to $514 million and mortgages revenue jumped 56% to $64 million as purchase loan origination volume rose 96% to $1.5 billion.
