Media Report Says TSMC Spends NT$100 Billion Upgrading Fab 15A

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. is spending more than NT$100 billion ($3.1 billion) to upgrade Fab 15A to 4-nanometer production from 28/22-nanometer lines, according to a media report. Older equipment from the site will be shipped to TSMC's fab in Dresden, Germany, the report said.
The report also said construction of TSMC's 1.4-nanometer fab project is in full swing and progressing better than expected.
