Western Union Launches USDPT Stablecoin on Solana
Western Union said its USD stablecoin, USDPT, is now live on the Solana blockchain. The token is issued by federally regulated bank Anchorage Digital and has been integrated into Western Union’s payment network spanning more than 200 countries.
Western Union said USDPT will primarily be used for cross-border settlement and agent clearing, with consumer-facing payment features planned for rollout in 2026.
