S&P Weighs Dropping Profitability Requirement for SpaceX, OpenAI IPOs
The Wall Street Journal reported that stock indexes are changing their rules to fast-track giant IPOs such as SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic, while stock index funds are also moving to change their rules to include those offerings.
As part of that shift, S&P is proposing to drop its profitability requirement, according to the Journal, a change that would allow such companies to enter indexes more quickly.
