Oscar Health Beats Profit Estimates, Reaffirms 2026 Outlook Despite Revenue Miss
Oscar Health reported first-quarter net income attributable to the company of $679.0 million, or $2.07 a diluted share, on revenue of about $4.6 billion, topping profit expectations but missing on sales. The insurer reaffirmed its full-year 2026 outlook across all metrics. Adjusted EBITDA was $727.1 million, while total membership was 3.17 million.
Revenue increased from $3.0 billion a year earlier, driven by higher membership and rate increases, partly offset by an increase in the net risk adjustment transfer accrual. Oscar's medical loss ratio improved to 70.5% from 75.4% a year earlier, helped by disciplined pricing, seasonality in claims and risk adjustment, and $68 million of favorable prior-period reserve development. The company said it remains on track to expand margins and achieve meaningful profitability in 2026.
