OpenAI's Codex Listings Point to GPT-5.5 Release
GPT-5.5 and several internal model names were spotted in OpenAI's Codex tools, including the Codex CLI and the model picker, suggesting the company may be preparing another model release. Names cited in the listings included oai-2.1, arcanine, glacier-alpha, glacier-alpha-block-cy4 and glacier-alpha-block-cy3, and in one instance the expanded menu appeared to be visible only on Pro accounts.
