RTX Beats First-Quarter Estimates, Raises 2026 Sales and EPS Outlook
RTX reported first-quarter 2026 results above expectations, with revenue of $22.1 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $1.78, while backlog reached $271 billion. The aerospace and defense company also raised its full-year 2026 outlook, lifting adjusted sales guidance to $92.5 billion-$93.5 billion from $92 billion-$93 billion and adjusted EPS guidance to $6.70-$6.90 from $6.60-$6.80.
RTX said sales rose 9% year over year, with organic sales up 10%, and cited growth across all three segments. The higher forecast comes as robust air-travel demand and growing demand for military hardware support its commercial aerospace and defense businesses.
