Florida Opens Criminal Probe Into OpenAI, ChatGPT Over Florida State University Shooting
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said the state is launching a criminal investigation into OpenAI and its artificial-intelligence app ChatGPT over last year's shooting at Florida State University, in which two people were killed.
Uthmeier said the probe will examine whether OpenAI bears criminal responsibility in the case.
