FTX bankruptcy liquidators sold Alameda Research’s $200,000 stake in Anysphere, the developer of Cursor, for its original purchase price during FTX’s bankruptcy liquidation. Alameda had invested $200,000 in Anysphere’s $400,000 pre-seed round in April 2022 for roughly 5% of the company.

Anysphere is now in funding negotiations at a valuation above $50 billion, and SpaceX has offered $60 billion to acquire the company. At those levels, the former Alameda holding could now be worth billions of dollars.
