Blockchain monitoring data showed Tether minted 1 billion USDT at Tether Treasury on April 23, with the issuance valued at about $1.0009 billion.
The mint adds to a broader increase in stablecoin supply. Over the past week, Tether and Circle have minted a combined $4.75 billion of stablecoins, according to the tracking data.
